Rosner Toyota Service Department Review from Glen Burnie, Maryland
A waste of a beautiful day and a time in my day I want ever get back, is what I feel when I bring my car here for anything. I immediately get on edge due to not knowing what to expect from the customer care(sad, sad, sad). Not all but most are simply deer's caught in headlights, poor customer care attendants, sorry, lazy, lack of regard towards customers, eating at intake desk(what's that about) and full of excuses. Too big of a brand for this low rate conduct. We have to think at some point things can't continue on this way but if not I'll keep my voice heard. Hold them accountable

Car Review
I bought a certified used vehicle and when I had my first oil change they found out that I had a broken axel and a bad battery. I can't believe they sold me a vehicle like that. They did replace the axel but said no to the battery.

Rosner Toyota Oil Change Review from Rose Hill, Virginia
They are the worst. The free oil change is sub standard oil and keep you waiting 4 hours. Not worth it. Car was is always broken. A real rip off. Don't buy there. Prices are high. Fool me once. Jiffy lube is better for an oil change.

Poor OE Replacement Parts - Overcharging for Service
They don't stand by their parts and overcharge for labor. Original equipment (OE) lasted 7+ years, 75000 miles; replacement parts only 2yrs, 24000 miles. 2006 Toyota Tundra - water pump/timing belt replacement in 2013; OE replacement water pump failed (catastrophically) almost 2 years to the day and took out the timing belt as well. Stafford Toyota quoted me $1,000.00 initially to replace the water pump ONLY. They said it was no longer under warranty and I'd have to pay for the repair. I called around and got a quote for $600.00 at a shop in Fredericksburg, VA. Called Stafford Toyota back to see if they'd come down, they dropped the price to $725.00. How could I trust them after they wanted to overcharge me $275.00? I took it to the place in Fredericksburg with the lower price. Ended up replacing the water pump, timing belt, and water outlet assembly for over $1200.00 all because of a *** OE replacement part. That same job at Stafford Toyota would've been over $2K. I called the Toyota service manager (two weeks on the job)...he stated there's nothing they could do, one year warranty on parts and labor; no service discounts, no nothing...I don't normally leave comments or reviews on services, but this experience disgusted me! Stafford Toyota just lost a customer and I hope others take heed! Lesson learned: The dealership isn't always the best bet! Always get prices from other shops and ask them if their price is final! Who knew you could negotiate lower labor prices? Apparently, they'll overcharge you unless provide competitive quotes from other shops.

THE TEST DRIVE FROM ***.
I was contact by Rosner that they had a viper that I may be interested in. The wife and I had stopped in months prior to take a look at a Viper we saw on the lot. We knew nothing about a Viper other then it looked very cool. They asked if we wanted to take it for a test drive. KEEP IN MIND THIS WAS A HOT DAY AND THE TIRES WERE STICKING TO THE GROUND. During the test drive we decided we did't care for the car color and made no purchase. In February 2014 I received a call from Rosner stating they had beautiful Red Viper and that I should come see it and take it for a test drive. My son and I went up on 2/8/14 a VERY COLD DAY as well as it had snowed a little on that day and the ground was wet. When they saw me pull up they started opening the doors to remove the car from the show room. Said here take the car for a test drive. Not knowing much at all about the car. Most of all that the car didn't have any type of traction control. Once we pulled pulled off the lot and took off from the first traffic lite my 42 year old son said Pop this car doesn't feel right. I greed after several more starts and stop and decided to get off rout 1 on to rout 95 to turn around and return the car. In my effort to inter on to 95 in the right lane with out much acceleration the car spun out and hit the gaurdrail doing some damage to the rear bumper and rear quarter panel . Scarring the *** out of my son and I. I am 67 year old guy who has been driving for over 50-years with out a accident or a speeding ticket. We were able to drive the car back to the dealer. Once there the manager asked what the *** happen. I explained. He never ask if my son are I were hurt. I told him I hit my head on the side window and I was starting to have pains in my head. After about 20-minutes of just standing there and watching he and his salesmen walk around the car shaking their heads. I told them I did not feel good and was leaving. The manager asked the salesmen if he had a copy of my drivers license. The salesmen said no. The manager looked at the salesman and shook his head and asked for my drivers license to make a copy. I gave it to him. Now this is where you better be ware. Rosner contacted my insurance co asking that they pay for the repairs. Remember I did nothing other then test drive a car that should have never left the show room do to the cold weather and outside Temp. A high horse power car with cold tires and no traction control. Known as a death trap on 4-wheels after much research on my part. The dealer should have known better then to let us take the car out. My son an I are lucky we weren't killed. After visiting my doctor do to my head hurting it was determined I had a mild concussion. My Ins Co State Farm first told me that Rosner had insurance to take care of this type of of accident as all dealers do and they were not paying out any thing. Then I was told by my Ins that Rosner told them I had signed a waiver to drive the car. That was a lie. I signed nothing. state farm paid out and then raised my rates. I asked why they paid they said it was a business decision. Cheaper then going to court and fighting for my rights. So beware of test drives because you can get screwed as I did.

Appalled. I'm appalled. I posted on Rosner Toyota of Stafford yesterday commenting on my experience, and my post was deleted, and they have blocked me from posting further. Pathetic, and indicative of the lack of integrity I've come to expect from Rosner. We purchased a used car, and upon returning for an oil change, discovered that the oil was completely dry. As there were no stains, no indications of leaks, and the oil plug was in place, the last logical answer was that the techs forgot to put oil in the car when we got our final inspection and oil change prior to leaving the dealership. Instead of apologizing for making a mistake, as any car repair location can do, and offering to repair the issue, they blamed us, blamed VW, blamed whoever they could, all while being derisive and disrespectful. After one month of limited communication that was usually minimal, strained, sarcastic, or forced, we finally got our car back after they took it to the VW dealership to be fixed under warranty. I'll leave the integrity of that decision up to you, but I have my opinion. To their credit, they did give us a loaner, free of charge. Seems to me an admission of error, but again, I'll leave that up to you. Buy a new car there, that's great. Just don't expect a used car to be properly "certified", and certainly don't expect anything resembling genuine respect from the service department in Stafford. Very disappointed, particularly from a company that offers so many claims of exceptional devotion to the customer. I will say that their front end customer service is good, and their loans are at a great rate, with an easy paperwork process. It wasn't until the service department that we had any issues.

False Advertising/defects
I went to test drive a convertible advertised on Edmunds.com. The first thing I did was ask the salesperson to put the top down; he couldn't get it down at first, and then when he did get it down, he could not put it back up. Then we noticed the engine light was on during the drive and the radio did not work. The ad said the car was "fully serviced" and the salesperson also said that it passed VA inspection. Upon speaking with the manager about possible repairs before we made a commitment to buy, the manager said we could buy it at the listed price but that there would be a shop repair bill to add to the price! Totally unacceptable, deceitful advertising, and I would not be able to trust the "repair" either.

CAR DEALER LIARS
We purchased a used vehicle from Rosner Toyota of Fredricksburg in Virginia after my car had a transmission problem which left me stranded in PA. The company bought my car sight unseen, after we paid for the repair and we paid them $350 to pick up the car from the repair shop and mail back the belongings in it to our home. We paid for the repair and they towed the car to their dealership but we never received any of the promised belongings in the car such as compact disc's, auto equipment, checkbooks, a set of golf clubs, etc. I never received any return calls or emails when I inquired about it and finally got a call from the general manager of the dealership AFTER I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I asked for $500 to replace the items, mainly the golf clubs and was told the people that made this agreement no longer worked for this company and basically, I was screwed. Not to mention they never mailed us a part for our new vehicle that they were supposed to send us in the mail, forcing us to purchase it elsewhere. Car dealership salespeople are SLEAZE. I intend to post this everywhere I can to warn anyone never to pay extra for an easy way out.

Rosner Toyota Poor Service
"¢ It has taken over a month to actually get through all the paperwork and buy a Tacoma with this company and we are still not done yet. Had my 22 year old daughter not had her heart set on this truck I would have canceled the transaction all together and gone to another dealer. The managers don't talk to each other so the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. They don't negotiate in good faith, at least not in my sale. Be sure to look at all the fine print!!!! The finance folks and the tax and registration folks are not familiar with out of state sales. My first contact, Samantha, was awesome; my second contact with our salesperson, William, was great, but everyone else, Chris, Mark and Penny were horrible to deal with! A month later we still don't have our tags and registration done :(. I will never recommend Rosner Toyota to anyone and can't wait to be done dealing with them. Even though they say we have all these extra warranties and benefits from Rosner I hope we never have to return to Rosner Toyota for any reason once this transaction is complete. If I actually lived near the area I would stand outside their business and attempt to deter folks from buying there! I have purchased many vehicles in my life time and none has been this difficult to buy.

Rosner and Carfax have perfect scam
I purchased a 2008 (33k miles, factory warranty) used truck from rosner in April. I had a hard time deciding between new and used because the used truck was really in excellent shape.I was provided a carfax document on the used truck. (just hang on this is not your typical carfax complaint) and it showed an excellent service record, meaning, it listed every oil change, tire rotation, wiper blade change. Had a couple tire issues but I had them check it out and I was comfortable with the situation. I was happy with the whole staff and they treated me just fine. However, a month later I notice a ton of paint chipping off of the bumper. I took it back. Assumption#1 I should have noticed the bumper had been painted, and I should have had someone check it out. I accept that. The service manager stated the damage was from road gravel or alike. And that the paint job was not factory so no obligation for them to do anything. I get that. HE checked with the GM and the agreed to repaint the bumper for good customer service. I like that.. HOWEVER, I only drove the truck for 1,000 miles. This seems to be a bad paint job. Here is where the deception comes in. Upon review the "carfax" document they provided was an internal printout from what is called "Carfax Dealer Advantage-Service Link" It is a tool offered by carfax by which dealers can use this to data enter service records for each vehicle. Literally every oil change rotation, alignment, tire repair, wiper blade, fluid refill was on there. The truck originated from that dealer, and the owner used the dealer for all the service. It looked like a perfect history. It did come across a little too good, and I also asked myself why did carfax track oil changes.... now I know.. Its Carfax Dealer Advantage-Service Link. Back to my conversation with the service manager. He was great and accommodating and open with me on all questions.. maybe too open. He logged in and found a Toyota service record for the front end work that Did not APPEAR on the internal carfax report. he was shocked, however he said there was no deception or cover up because they are not responsible for what carfax pulls from their system to populate a carfax report. Yep, I get it, push the blame to carfax. and I have read the stories on the delay issues with carfax reporting. HOWEVER.. this is Carfax Dealer Advantage- Service Link.. the dealer enters all the info and carfax draws the info into the database on the their website. The Service Manager Even pulled up the entry in dealers advantage showing the entry for the front end work IN THE CARFAX DEALER ADVANTAGE SYSTEM. However, all entries printed before and after that date..except the front end work. So since I was looking at it with my own eyes- in the CARFAX SITE, I asked him to print it out so I could have a copy of what he was looking at,and he said sure. I got home and that one entry still did not print. Hummm??? I spent some time researching this issue. I get it, I should have caught the paint job by having a shop look at it.. I accept it and I love the truck. This is not problem. The problem is that I had negociate a new vehicle at the same time, it came down to the same money to buy now or used (for personal reasons) I chose used because of the appearance and features of the truck. and that they provided me with a thorough history of the maintenance. Keep in mind it had a couple minor entries that created dialog, but was fine with the answers. Had the painted bumper been on that report. I would not have chosen used. PERIOD. It is a scam for them to use a carfax brand for their record keeping, omit info from the customer, and then claim no responsibility because it is carfax.. Carfax Dealer Advantage Service Link markets to dealers to "increase customer confidence". Shocking...especially if it leaves off significant information. I spoke with the GM, I complemented his staff and notified him that I was a return customer. I called upon the situation and he played the same card about not being responsible for carfax but he treated me well by painting the bumper and that for a long as I own the truck, they would fix the bumper for workmanship issues, not road hazzard issues. (again, this paint falls off if you look at it funny) So I am sure I will have more paint missing once I drive it off the lot again. I asked him about the depreciated value because of the painted bumper and he said that painting bumpers is a routine process to increase the overall look of the vehicle and does not affect value.. well then why did he paint over the scratch when it was on the lot? He reiterated that if I trade it in that their is no value loss from a bumper being painted.. just if the body was painted. LIES.. The fact of the matter is that there is value loss, which is why it is not showing up on the Service Link report. My complaint: They created a deceptive vehicle history by not having the work represented on the Service Link report. I witnessed the entry at the dealer IN THE SERVICE LINK screen, So I know it was drawn into service link. It just does not print. The GM lied about affecting the value of the vehicle, if I try to sell it, Potential buyers/dealers will take in account the painted bumper. This is poor and deceptive business for consumers... So both CARFAX and Rosner are lying.

Rosner Toyota of Stafford means Bad Bad
I bought a 2006 Camry from Rosner Toyota of Stafford Virginia. I was told prior to sale of three day return policy. After finding out about several safety concerns I decided that it would not be a good vehicle for my wife to drive. I attempted to return the vehicle within three day time limit. They refused to take the car back despite the safety concerns. They would only take the car back if I agreed to lose 2500 cash even on a trade. Although their service department was aware of the problems it appears that money is the only customer they serve. My advice from experience is Do Not Trust Them! Do Not Believe Them! I believe they are liars and give bad and unfriendly service. If you are thinking about dealing with Rosner, think twice and be careful.

No transparency and no manners
If you are thinking about coming here, save yourself time and just don't. I inquired about a mildly used car. I rode it and liked it. When it came time to sit down and talk, I was offered ridiculous payment options. Let me explain: no mention of what interest I would be paying, and no information of what the total cost would be. The car tag said 15,000, and I would have paid a total of 23,000 for what they wanted. Let me clarify that my credit score is 750. To make matters worse, the manager showed no manners. This is the worst way to do business, at the end they got $0, and I will tell as many people as possible to not come here.

Rosner Toyota put a big scrap on my car.
I went to Rosner Toyota just to get an Emmission test for my tags On Aug. 31, 2009. When I got there I had to ask someone to help me because they acted as if I didn't just walk in (rude), I just got off work and I was tired, finally someone saw me they took my keys I never signed anything and they took my car, my daughter picked me up so I wouldn't have to wait. When we returned I saw this big white scrape on my bumper, I asked one employee what happened to my car he siad I don't know but I will find out, he never told me anything the service manager heard me talking and asked what's wrong I told him my car didn't have that scrape on it whenI left it, he asked did they have you sign in and I said no. He informed me that they had cameras all around and he would review them to see what happened to my car. Then upon leaving they gave me the wrong paperwork with somebody else name on it and asked me if I knew the person I said no never heard of them, they said the rest of the paper work was correct and that was a lie the paperwork stated the truck was white my truck is blue!!! Now that was in Aug, I still haven't heard from them at all!! Buying my new car from Toyota has turned out to be a nightmare from ***!!! In hope someone will see this at the corporate office and get in touch with me!!! My car is 2yrs OLD!!!!!!
